SITYODTONG’S HISTORY AND LINEAGE


Sityodtong Muay Thai Camp was first established in 1960 by the late Legendary Muay Thai Master, Kru Yodtong Senanan. In 1960, Kru Yodtong first opened up Sityodtong Muay Thai Camp in Mabtaput, which is in the province of Rayong, located south of Pattaya City. 15 years later, Kru Yodtong Senanan moved and expanded his Camp to to a bigger location in Naklu. Due to the large amount of students and fighters that Kru Yodtong gained, he again needed to move his camp to a much larger location. This time Kru Yodtong Senanan purchased several acres of land in the Banglamung province, which is just a few kilometers from Pattaya, and built Sityodtong Muay Thai Camp in its current location. Sityodtong Muay Thai Camp, since 1960, has created and produced over 57 World Champions including, Samart Payakaroon, Kongtoranee Payakaroon, Daotong Sityodtong, Chatchai Paiseetong, Yoddecha Sityodtong, Yodsanan Sityodtong, Yodteera Sityodtong, Neungpichit Sityodtong, Detpitak Sityodtong.

Kru Yodtong Senanan

The owner and founder of Sityodtong Camp. Kru Yodtong Senanan was born in the province of Banpong, 250 km south of Bangkok.

Kru Yodtong considers all forms of combat, “a science which can be studied and ultimately mastered.”

Kru Yodtong properly started training at the age of 14 years old. After his 15th birthday, Kru Yodtong had his first fight. His fighting name was Erawan Detprasit Banpra. Detprasit was the name of his Camp, and Banpra was the name of the stadium where he often competed at. At the age of 17 he changed camps, and took on the camps name, “Senanan”, which replaced his last name, Sriwaralak. Shortly after Kru Yodtong began instructing Muay Thai at his new Camp. Kru Yodtong continued fighting professionally until around the age of 21. Shortly after, he went into semi retirement, but he would still fight if the money was good. Kru Yodtong had a total of 49 fights.

In 1960 Kru Yodtong Senanan built his first camp in Mabtaput, which is in the province of Rayong, located south of Pattaya. 15 years later, Kru Yodtong moved and expanded into a bigger Muay Thai camp in Naklu. Due to the large amount of students and fighters, he needed to move and change locations of his camp once again. Kru purchased several acres of land in Banglamung province, which sits just on the outskirts of Pattaya and built the current Sityodtong Muay Thai Camp.

In 1971, Daotong Sityodtong became Kru Yodtong’s first champion at Lumpinee Stadium. Shortly after he raised more Lumpinee Champions such his Students, Samart Payakaroon, Kongtoranee Payakaroon, and many others.

Kru Yodtong’s advice to young fighters…..
